For baby swimming classes, a vaccination is required in order to register for classes .
Your baby needs to be vaccinated with the 2nd polio injection before starting his or her sessions in the water. This vaccine cannot be given before your baby is 4 months old.
Contraindications for baby swimmers: #
According to the French Swimming Federation:
Absolute contraindications: cyanogenic congenital heart disease, severe respiratory disorders, immune deficiency, permanent swallowing disorder.
Relative contraindications: comitiveness in the absence of a competent teaching team, existence of swallowing disorders at birth without sequelae
